Design and Fabrication of 3D-Printed Magnetically Triggered Soft-Porous Scaffolds for Drug Delivery
Magnetically responsive porous materials have emerged as promising candidates for advanced, stimulus-driven drug delivery systems. This study introduces a cost-effective 3D printing technique for fabricating flexible porous scaffolds embedded with NdFeB microparticles, giving magnetic sensitivity to the materials. These multifunctional scaffolds feature adjustable porosity, making them versatile for both large-scale and personalized drug delivery applications. Through experimental evaluation, we demonstrate that the designed magnetically soft porous scaffolds exhibit exceptional flexibility, returning to their original shape after deformation and achieving a compression rate of 49 ± 0.7% under the influence of N52-grade magnets.
