Research on Dynamic Threshold of Current-Carrying Capacity Considering the Efficiency and Reliability of Overhead Lines
The capacity of overhead transmission lines to carry current is a crucial parameter for evaluating their load-bearing capability, directly impacting the need for dynamic capacity expansion, which is essential for the stable operation of the power system. In addition to the inherent characteristics of the conductors, the current carrying capacity of overhead lines is closely linked to local meteorological conditions. This research utilizes a K-means algorithm-based approach to assess the current carrying capacity of overhead transmission lines. Initially, historical data undergo statistical analysis, and monthly meteorological data similarities are used to partition time periods using the K-Means algorithm with appropriate boundary conditions. Subsequent simulation calculations employing the Morgan formula aim to maximize line transmission capacity while ensuring stable and secure operation, assessing operational stability to enhance the safety of overhead transmission lines.
