A Triple T-coil Based Impedance Matching and Bandwidth Extension Network for High-Speed AFE
This paper discusses impedance matching and bandwidth extension techniques in high-speed analog front end (AFE), and proposes a triple T-coil based impedance matching and bandwidth extension network. A differential transmission line and three pairs of differential T-coils are applied in this structure. Post-simulation result demonstrates that the proposed design extends the -3 dB bandwidth by 2.23 times to 47.39 GHz, and the return loss less than -12 dB bandwidth is 47.15 GHz, with the group delay variation range of 1.38 ps.
