Design and Implementation of FPGA-Based Spread Spectrum Communication Pulse Shaping
Spread spectrum communication is widely used in hydroacoustic communication. This paper proposes a new method of modulation by splicing based on FPGA for BPSK direct sequence spread spectrum. This method intercepts and saves 8 kinds of code element waveforms, and selects and splices the 8 kinds of code element waveforms for different gold sequences to complete the modulation of the signal, which improves the generating efficiency of BPSK modulated signal and reduces the occupancy of FPGA resources. In this paper, the feasibility of this method is firstly verified by MATLAB simulation, and then implemented based on FPGA. The simulation and shallow sea test results prove the good performance of the proposed scheme.
