A Time-of-Use Pricing-Based Hybrid AC-DC Microgrid Photovoltaic and Storage Configuration Method for Wastewater Treatment Plants
In the carbon peak action plan, it is proposed to accelerate the development of new power systems and actively promote ‘renewable energy + energy storage’ and integrated source-grid-load-storage systems. Wastewater treatment plants are crucial urban infrastructure with high and stable base loads, resulting in significant energy consumption. Some structures in wastewater treatment plants have ample space for photovoltaic installation, making the addition of solar and storage systems on existing or new buildings an effective means for reducing emissions and enhancing carbon reduction. This paper proposes a hybrid AC-DC microgrid for wastewater treatment plants, addressing their load and energy consumption issues. Based on the source-load-storage control method and time-of-use electricity price, a photovoltaic and energy storage capacity configuration method was proposed, which reduced system losses, reduced costs, and promoted the low-carbon transformation of wastewater treatment plants.
