Unequal Error Protection Transmission Based on Error Re-estimation Polar Codes
In order to realize the high-quality transmission in the Power Line Communication (PLC) system, this paper delves into the application of unequal error protection (UEP) technology leveraging polar codes. By estimating the true reliability of information bits of polar codes, we implement unequal error protection coding within polar code frames, providing differentiated protection for data of varying importance during the PLC transmission. This approach enhances the overall robustness and performance of the PLC system. As a result, the proposed method significantly improves the fidelity of transmitted data, achieving a significant increase in the Bit Error Rate (BER) compared to traditional equal error protection methods.
