Regional Electricity Carbon Emission Real-time Monitoring Method Considering Green Electricity Transaction Contract

Constructing a reliable and effective electricity carbon monitoring system is crucial for clarifying users' electricity carbon emission responsibility and achieving “dual carbon” goals. Current systems do not account for the impact of power transactions, failing to distinguish the carbon emission responsibilities behind each transaction. This paper proposes a novel regional electricity carbon emission real-time monitoring method which incorporates power transaction behavior, especially green electricity transaction, based on carbon emission flow theory. The method decomposes electricity flow into transaction flow and non-transaction flow firstly, and then calculates the corresponding carbon emission responsibilities based on their sources independently. Simulations based on the P JM -5 node system validate the method's effectiveness. Results show the proposed method can elucidate the transfer of carbon emission responsibilities associated with power transactions. The method is suitable for the real-time monitoring of carbon emission information in power systems.
