Demonstration of 3V-Operation in Flexible Organic Transistors with Solution-Processed Cyanoethyl Cellulose in a Hybrid Gate Dielectric
In this work, cyanoethyl cellulose (CEC) was explored in combination with a thin high-k HfO2 layer as promising gate dielectric for the demonstration of flexible organic field-effect transistors. The blend of TIPS-pentacene and polystyrene (PS) was used as an active layer for p-channel operation in these devices. Excellent electrical characteristics with good operational and bending stability upto 5 mm bending radius were obtained for -3 V operation. Resistive load inverter characteristics was obtained from these devices showing good switching and dynamic characteristics for a load resistance value of 20 MΩ. In addition, good blue light sensing capability was successfully demonstrated for these devices.
