Experimental Assessment of Printed Temperature Sensors and Microheaters on Flexible Substrates

In this work, we present an experimental assessment of printed passive (sensors) and active (microheaters) thermal devices using carbon and graphene-based materials on flexible substrates. Global metrics are defined for both sensors and microheaters, to assists the performance evaluation of each type of device. A power analysis was conducted to microheaters, along with theoretical insights into Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR), to aid in the material selection process.

Abstract

In this work, we present an experimental assessment of printed passive (sensors) and active (microheaters) thermal devices using carbon and graphene-based materials on flexible substrates. Global metrics are defined for both sensors and microheaters, to assists the performance evaluation of each type of device. A power analysis was conducted to microheaters, along with theoretical insights into Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR), to aid in the material selection process.
