Difference in Inductance Between Integer Slot and Fractional Slot THMF-PC-PMSMs
In order to investigate the difference in inductance parameters of the third-harmonic-magnetic-field-based pole-change permanent magnet synchronous motors (THMF-PC-PMSMs) with different winding types, this paper analyzes these parameters before and after the change of pole. Initially, this paper introduces the theory of THMF-PC-PMSMs with field-weakening and speed regulation, and then calculates the magnetic potential of the THMF-PV-PMSMs before and after the change of pole. Under ideal conditions, this paper analyzes the inductance parameters of both integer-slot centralized winding and typical fractional-slot centralized winding. A 10-pole, 12-slot is selected as a typical fractional-slot centralized winding to be discussed. Comparative analysis reveals that the inductance change in the 10-pole 12-slot is more significant than in the integer-slot after the pole change.
