Integrated Tuning of Control Loops for a Shaft-Sensorless PMa-SynRM Drive
In this paper the dynamic performance of shaft sensorless drive with PMa-SynRM motor are considered. The whole control structure is carefully analyzed and procedure for integrated tuning of all three control loops in drive, FOC current loop, internal speed observer loop and speed loop is proposed. It is believed that combined tuning approach is the only way to assure stable drive performance, insuring separation of all loop bandwidths but still with wanted dynamic speed and torque response. The experimental results on 1kW PMa-SynRM drive working with and without the shaft-sensor prove the effectiveness of proposed tuning procedure.
