Extraction of Parasitic Inductance of Laminated Bus Bar of High Frequency Inverter Arc Welding Power Supply Based on Genetic Algorithm

Inverter arc welding power supplies use higher switching frequency, which puts more stringent requirements on the design of the parasitic parameters of the commutation circuit. In inverter arc welding power supplies, stray inductance can cause various problems such as surge voltage and switching losses. These problems lead to improper operation and increased levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI) in inverter arc welding power supplies. Laminated bus bars can achieve mutual inductance cancellation and are considered a good way to minimize stray inductance. Current research on laminated bus bar mainly focuses on the effect of current path on parasitic inductance, and there is little research on the combination of genetic algorithm to extract its parasitic inductance and the effect of electromagnetic field on its parasitic inductance. In this paper, for the 50 kHz/20 kW inverter arc welding power supply, a laminated bus bar with integrated DC capacitor, soft-start circuit, IGBT module, and three-phase rectifier module is designed, and the numerical calculation of quasi-static electromagnetic field is carried out by using ANSYS Q3D to extract the parasitic parameter matrix, and the multi-port circuit model of the laminated bus bar is established. The impedance frequency characteristics and switching characteristics of the laminated bus bar are measured and simulated by impedance resonance method and genetic algorithm, and the parasitic inductance of the laminated bus bar is extracted, which confirms the accuracy of the laminated bus bar modeling.
