A Reduction Technique of Electromagnetic Noise Generated by Three-Phase Power Electronic Converters
The paper deals with a conducted electromagnetic noise reduction technique, namely the mitigation of the conducted electromagnetic interference in the power supply lines due more often to switched electronic products operating at higher frequencies. After a short theoretical review, the method used, namely the passive filtering of the electromagnetic interference at the supply lines, is presented. A three-phase passive line filter, inserted between a variable-speed drive system, an induction motor and the power supply line, is analyzed. Measurements of conducted electromagnetic noise are carried out in compliance with the European standards in force. The main objective of the experimental section consists in demonstrating the three-phase passive line filter efficacy.
