Map Presentation in Walking Support System With Wearable Sensors by Metaverse
This paper proposes to add a function to a metaverse-based walking support system that presents a map of the metaverse and indicates the current position and goal position on the map. Users can move in the metaverse space by wearing wearable sensors (e.g., ankle and waist sensors) and performing a stepping motion and dynamically change the speed of movement according to the stepping speed. The added function would encourage the stepping motion in the elderly because it would tell the user how far he/she need to walk from the current position to the goal position.
