A Study on Digital Twin Modules that Support Digital Twinning of the Physical World
A digital twin is a physical entity that is replicated as logical information and expressed in the digital world. The logical information in the digital world includes information such as the entity's properties, characteristics, behaviors and events, and is synchronized with the physical entity in real time. However, the lack of a common definition and understanding of digital twins, the difficulty of integrating distributed and isolated backend data, and the lack of a standardized information model to increase interoperability between data sources are hindering the adoption of digital twins. In this paper, we aim to implement and study a digital twin module that can model entities as logical information and support synchronization between physical and digital entities to make it easier to build digital twins.
