Integrated Vehicle Accidental Alert: IoT Based Intelligent System

In contemporary transportation systems, ensuring safety is of paramount significance, particularly in areas prone to hazards or requiring specific precautions, such as school zones and construction sites. This paper presents the design and implementation of an Integrated Vehicle Accidental Alert System leveraging the capabilities of the ESP32 microcontroller, Arduino Uno, and RF communication technology. The system is designed to monitor vehicle locations using a GPS module interfaced with the ESP32 microcontroller. Upon detecting the entry of a vehicle into a designated danger area, the Arduino Uno in the transmitter module, powered by a solar panel and battery setup, sends a signal via an RF transmitter. This signal is received by an RF receiver within the vehicle, which the Arduino Uno in the receiver module processes to trigger an audio playback and storage module that broadcasts pre-recorded safety messages tailored to specific hazard-prone areas. Concurrently, the ESP32 microcontroller uses its Wi-Fi capabilities to match live GPS coordinates and send notifications to a Blynk mobile application, providing real-time alerts to users regarding the vehicle's proximity to danger zones. This dual-notification system enhances safety measures by ensuring that both the driver and relevant stakeholders are promptly informed of potential risks. The system architecture employs a seamless integration of hardware components and software algorithms, facilitating efficient communication and response mechanisms. By leveraging emerging technologies and integrating them into a cohesive framework, this system contributes to the advancement of intelligent transportation systems aimed at mitigating accidents and promoting public safety. The solution is scalable and adaptable for diverse environments, including school zones, construction sites, and high-traffic areas.
