Enhancing the Learning of Computer Internal Systems Through Augmented Reality
The rapid advancements in technology have opened new avenues for educational methodologies, particularly in the domain of computer science. This paper explores the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) as an innovative tool to enhance the understanding of computer internal systems. AR, by overlaying digital information onto the physical world, provides an interactive and immersive learning experience that can make complex concepts more accessible and engaging. Through the implementation of AR applications, students can visualize and interact with 3D models of computer components, such as CPUs, memory modules, and storage devices, in real-time. The study involves a development of conceptual model for AR application covering a computer internal component, assessing its impact on student engagement through user preferences identification and challenges, and thus exploring the broader potential of AR in technical education. The results indicate that AR may significantly improve comprehension, retention, and engagement, providing a promising supplement to conventional computer science education. By integrating AR into the curriculum, educators can offer a more dynamic and interactive learning environment, fostering deeper understanding and enthusiasm for the subject.
