CANSAT: A Miniature Satellite for Remote Environmental Monitoring
The CANSAT, a soda can-sized satellite equipped with advanced sensors, represents a significant advancement in remote environmental monitoring technology by developing and deploying a miniature satellite designed to gather real-time environmental data from the lower atmosphere. This research paper explores the possibilities of utilizing lightweight materials and precise sensors to offer a practical alternative to traditional data collection methods, which often involve significant risks and logistical challenges. The CANSAT is deployed from a specific altitude, descending with the aid of a parachute. The findings underscore the feasibility and efficiency of the CANSAT in environmental monitoring, highlighting its contributions to sustainability and technological innovation.
