Design Of RF Mixer For Multiband Communication Bandwidth

This paper presents the RF mixer design which integrates advanced circuit techniques to achieve optimal performance and efficient frequency conversion. The design also incorporates features to facilitate ease of integration into multiband communication systems, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Reconfigurable architectures and wideband matching networks are two novel circuit topologies and methodologies being investigated to enable multiband operation. To find the effectiveness of the proposed design, simulations are carried using industry-standard tools. The simulation results provide insights into the mixer’s performance metrics, including gain, noise figure, and linearity, across different frequency bands. Furthermore, a practical implementation of the RF mixer is carried out, and the experimental results are compared with the simulation data to validate the real-world feasibility and performance. The proposed RF mixer design of supply voltage 1.8V provides the power consumption of 423.9uW and leakage current of 890.86mA.
