Epidemiology of epiretinal membranes using spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography in an Iranian elderly population
The prevalence of primary epiretinal membrane in Tehran, Iran, was found to be lower than that reported in the majority of earlier studies. Posterior vitreous detachment, interaction between age and diabetes, and lower education level were risk factors of primary epiretinal membrane in this study.
