Data Modeling and Simulation Method of Full-Link Spaceborne Microwave Scatterometer
In order to support the design demonstration of the space-based observation system of the global ocean wind field and the optimization design of the ocean satellite, a full-link spaceborne microwave scatterometer modeling method is proposed. According to the set simulated wind field, and the satellite orbit and scatterometer observation mechanism, a wind field calculation model for the scatterometer beam observation position at each moment is established. Based on the principle of radar observation and Geophysics model function, the calculation model of echo power and backscatter coefficient is constructed by superposing the instruments observation noise and Geophysics noise. The space grid of the earth's surface is divided, and the backscatter coefficient is registered into each space grid by using the distance weighted average method. The SNR and radiometric accuracy of each grid are obtained. Finally, the maximum likelihood method is used to retrieve the wind field from the simulated data. The simulation results show that the principle of the modeling method is correct, and the simulation accuracy of the model with wind speed better than 2m / s and wind direction better than 20 ° can be obtained, which meets the needs of engineering design demonstration.
