Stabilized High-Speed Charging for Optimized EV Performance with Hybrid Sources
The number of electric vehicles sold in India is expected to increase, with sales figures about doubling annually. By 2030, it is intended to have 7.09 billion electric cars on the road. It is now necessary to choose wisely among the next electric drive technologies in order to accomplish this goal. Since air pollution is becoming a bigger issue, the automotive industry has been working to build fuel-efficient and clean automobiles. Electric vehicles, or EVs, seem to be the best option when it comes to replacing traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. In order to reduce the impact of fast charging on the grid, an energy management strategy based on optimal power flow is also suggested, which involves connecting a solar PV generation system with a charging station. DC charging can charge an electric vehicle's battery to 80% capacity in under 20 minutes for the majority of models, meaning that charging an EV requires less time than standard charging. Because DC fast charging allows automobiles to easily recharge in a brief break when needed, it is crucial for drivers and fleet owners to be able to utilise their vehicles without worrying about running out of fuel. Fast charging stations that use DC technology supply an electric vehicle's battery with a high-power DC current, typically up to 120kW, directly to the battery, bypassing any onboard AC/DC converter. Since the majority of cars on the road today have a maximum power of 50kW, that is typically the maximum power that is installed.
