Battery Thermal Management System for Electric Vehicle Using LABVIEW

The Battery Thermal Management System(BTMS) is essential for preserving the performance, effectiveness, and safety of EV batteries. Throughout the process of charging and discharging, electric vehicle batteries produce a considerable amount of heat. If not properly regulated, this heat can result in problems like cell deterioration, shortened battery life, and diminished performance. Good thermal management guarantees the battery functions at its best temperature to enhance safety and energy efficiency. Without appropriate control, thermal runaway, a situation in which the battery irreversibly overheats, can happen, presenting a significant safety concern. If the battery temperature goes over a certain limit, the system will lower the motor speed to avoid overheating and potential harm. This method helps reduce the dangers of too much heat production while charging and discharging, thus boosting battery longevity and performance. By adjusting motor speed according to current temperature data, the system guarantees that the battery functions within safe thermal boundaries, decreasing the chance of thermal runaway and other safety risks.
