Advanced Mine Helmet with Real-Time Gas Monitoring and Automatic Oxygen Supply

The mining sector places a high priority on safety, especially for those who work underground. To preserve lives, rescue operations for common mining problems like collapses are needed. Effective communication is essential to improve safety. The goal of this project is to create a smart safety helmet that is especially intended for deep mining personnel. Equipped with an ESP32 microprocessor and various sensors, the helmet continuously monitors ambient conditions, detecting hazardous gases and temperature changes. These sensors ensure the surrounding gas molecules are kept to the standard, and for any variation in the gas values, the actuator triggers the release of oxygen to the miner. It provides real-time alerts to both the miner and ground personnel, facilitating immediate responses to potential dangers. In cases of hazardous gas exposure, the helmet can automatically activate an integrated oxygen supply, with a manual override option available. Wireless communication ensures efficient data transmission to a central console for comprehensive monitoring. This system is integrated into the existing mining helmet to make sure all the standards of the mining helmet are met and make sure that no extra weight is introduced to the helmet. This innovative solution aims to significantly improve safety measures in the mining sector, protecting workers and enabling proactive hazard management,
