Uninterrupted Clock Using GPS, DS3231 RTC & NTP Pool Server
Through the use of the Espressif Systems32(ESP32) microcontroller's embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) Neo 6m module, DS3231 RTC, Network time protocol(NTP) Pool Server, and Organic light emitting diode (OLED) display, this research project aims to create an Uninterrupted Clock system for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices. The central controller of the project is the ESP32, which is well-known for its strong Wi-Fi connectivity and adaptable General-purpose input/output (GPIOs). The GPS is essential for supplying exact positioning and timing information because of its stability and reliable data. The accuracy and dependability of the clock are further improved by the combination of the DS3231 RTC and NTP Pool Server. These parts are synchronized by the ESP32, which also uses the OLED display to present GPS position data in real-time. This research endeavours to realize an uninterrupted clock system that seamlessly integrates GPS, RTC, and NTP technologies, contributing to advancements in clock accuracy and functionality for SCADA devices.
