Performance Analysis of Grid Connected PV Array and Battery Energy Storage Interface EV Charging Station
This paper represents an effective design approach that makes use of a charging station with maximum power point tracking and a DC-DC converter with Energy Storage Unit. On the other hand, surplus solar energy is fed into the electrical grid. ESU (energy storage unit) uses the stored energy to produce the finest power management system presented. Consequently, an off-grid EV charging station that is reliable, efficient, and kind to the environment is produced. This paper also highlights several key findings. The integration of PV arrays with battery storage enhances the reliability and efficiency of EV charging, reducing grid dependency by approximately $\mathbf{3 0 \%}$. The system’s energy utilization efficiency was improved by $\mathbf{2 0 \%}$ due to optimized power management strategies. Furthermore, the setup demonstrated a potential reduction in peak demand charges by up to 15%, contributing to cost savings and grid stability.
