Design and Analysis of All Optical Adders for Next Generation Processors Using 2D Photonic Crystal
This project explores the development of an all-optical address system for next-generation processors through the utilization of 2D photonic crystals. The objective is to enhance processing speed and efficiency by replacing traditional electronic addressing with optical counterparts. The design involves intricate analysis of the 2D photonic crystal structures to optimize performance. The study tries to show the viability and benefits of this novel strategy through simulation and experimentation. The potential benefits include reduced signal latency, lower power consumption, and increased data transfer rates. The research contributes to the advancement of optical computing paradigms, addressing the challenges in contemporary processor architectures.
