Dynamic Speed Control of Axial Piston Pump Using Adaptive Model Predictive Control with Kalman Filter
To facilitate velocity control of axial piston pump a mathematical model has been developed through Adaptive Model Predictive Control (MPC). Traditional control methods fail to deal with nonlinearities and dynamics of complex hydraulic systems. Robust control offered by adaptive MPC provides an optimised solution by continuously updating the system model and control parameters in real-time, with improved performance and stability. The result analysis indicates, the Adaptive Model Predictive Control (MPC) excels the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller in terms of rise time, settling time, percentage overshoot, and control effort for two different inputs. The proposed method demonstrates significant improvements in response time, accuracy, and robust control differs significantly from typical control approaches.
