The Use of Technological Innovations in the Field From The Perspective of Rural Producers in Goiás

Objective: The objective of this study was to identify the technological innovations used in the field by rural producers in Goiás. Responsible for giving an impulse to agribusiness, Agro 4.0, also known as digital agriculture, goes beyond the simple mechanization of the countryside. Theoretical picture: The operations and decisions take into variable considerations such as the climate, land and crop from which data collected by digital technologies is taken in real time. The use of technological innovations is transforming agribusiness in a surprising way, and is growing increasingly more among rural producers. Method: The research has a qualitative nature, classified as exploratory, the collection of data was carried out through the application of a questionnaire. The data analysis was carried out in a descriptive manner. Results and discussion: The results obtained made it possible to identify that 82.69% of the participating producers use some kind of technological innovation, and that 69.23% use some kind of on-board technology. Through the collected data it is possible to observe that the main technologies used by the participants in this study are GPS, drones and management software. Implications of the research: The rural producers from Goiás make use of on-board technology. Originality and value: The relevance of this research is to demonstrate what technological innovations the rural producers in Goiás are using in the field in order to emphasize its applicability by demonstrating the benefits and challenges in agro 4.0. This study seeks to offer significant contributions not only to academia, but also to professionals active in the market, fostering a deeper understanding of the advantages and usability of technological innovations in the field.
