Revisão E Proposição: Métodos De Análise Gráfica E Sua Adoção No Ensino De Teoria, História E Projeto De Arquitetura
Classrooms daily life made us rethink the practices and instruments available to achieve better analyzes and, consequently, a better interpretation and subsequent understanding of the content taught. As teachers of the Theory and History of Architecture and Architectural Design discipline, we have been using drawing as an instrument of architectural analysis for some years, which has enabled students to have a broader understanding of the field of architecture, the construction of an architectural vocabulary and the exercise of graphic skills, inherent to the design process. Just like literature, architecture has a grammatical structure made up of its own elements. The more the student delves into this structure and knows these elements, the better they become at translating this architecture and designing another. In this sense, this text proposes a comparative analysis of the methods conceived and used by Francis D. K. Ching, Geoffrey Howe Baker, Simon Unwin, Leupen Roger Clark & Michael Pause and Peter Eisenman, which we recurrently use and apply in class throughout the process of professional training. Its objective is to review and criticize, not only the propositions of these authors, but the practices adopted in teaching design, theory and their interfaces with representation and drawing in the process of graphic analysis
