Dual Drugs in Tandem: A Comparative Study of Gefitinib and Bevacizumab in the Treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
The field of lung cancer research includes non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which has been a common subject of medical research in recent years. As an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), Gefitinib blocks the activity of EGFR. Thereby inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells. Another drug, Bevacizumab, takes a different way by cutting off the blood that is supplied to cancer cells. Whether used alone or in combination, these two drugs have significantly advanced the field of NSCLC treatment and offered new hope for patients.
