Application of Perovskite Solar Cells in Extreme Environments

Exploring the utilization of renewable energy has become the primary emphasis of energy research, with perovskite solar cells increasingly playing a significant role in this field. These cells have gained significant attention due to their rapid increase in efficiency and their potential to be produced using cost-effective methods. However, perovskite cells encounter challenges, particularly when they are exposed to extreme environmental conditions. Factors such as temperature variations, humidity, light intensity, and chemical exposure can significantly impact the stability and performance of perovskite cells. In this work, the application requirements and shutdown technology of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) in extreme environments (such as space and underwater) were discussed, which provides an important reference for further improving the performance and stability of PSCs in special environments.
