CRİMİNAL LİABİLİTY FOR PERVERSİON
When we look at the articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, direct responsibility has not been envisaged for actions such as harassing individuals, making sexually disturbing remarks and actions, entering a person's intimate zone, or touching them. Such actions are often labeled as "perversion" in our society. When we say "perversion," we understand a person who has lost morals, an immoral person. In our country, mainly individuals belonging to the female sex are exposed to sexual harassment when moving on the streets, using public transport, or at any mass event by individuals. When we talk about sexual assault, they encounter incidents such as making sexual proposals, persistent attempts to get acquainted, or touching various parts of women's bodies (hair, clothing, body, etc.). In order to prevent such cases and to ensure that the perpetrators of these actions are justly prosecuted, " perversion" is considered an independent act, and the person who committed it must bear criminal and administrative responsibility.
