The enterprise digital transformation allows management to create unique resources and helps ensure competitiveness. The purpose of paper is to determine the main characteristics of enterprise digital transformation, which play a key role in providing management with a competitive advantage of the organization. The paper applies the VRIN model. The author identified the factors contributing to the scaling of the enterprise digital transformation. In the context of competitive advantage, management needs to undertake an industrial enterprise digital transformation that is continuous, ongoing, or at least periodic rather than one-time.
