MAIN DIRECTIONS OF IMPROVING THE CURRENT MECHANISMS FOR ENSURING CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE POPULATION'S QUALITY OF LIFE

Drastic changes that have been taking place at the global level for decades are changing the fundamentals and the state of the world economy, contributing to the emergence of great challenges for national economies. The article identifies the problem of the great challenges and its impact on the quality of life. An overview of the priorities of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation is provided. The article also focuses on the role played by the quality economics at this stage of development and usage of metrology, standardization and quality management in the interests of continuous improvement of the quality of life.
