POLÍTICAS DE EDUCAÇÃO: CONCEPÇÕES HEGEMÔNICAS QUE FUNDAMENTAM AS POLÍTICAS NACIONAIS DE ALFABETIZAÇÃO

The study aims to analyze the historical, economic and, mainly, pedagogical processes that have a direct impact on national literacy policies. In order to understand if this historical, economic and theoretical educational base is coherent to contribute and improve the literacy rates in Brazil. It is concluded that in addition to the conceptions that underlie literacy policies and, beyond the very operation of these policies, the macro project of transformation of society can not be ignored, where only with the change of the capitalist mode of production all men and women can aim for a truly just and equal society.
