Novel 1,3,4-Thiadiazole-2-yl-pyrimidine Derivatives In Vitro and the Etymology of Antifungal Activity
An array of 5-(5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-3,4-dihydro-6-methyl-4-phenyl-pyrimidin-2(1H)-one derivatives (3a–3j) were synthesized. The synthesized chemicals effectively suppressed fungus activities. IR, 1H, 13C NMR, GC-MS, and Elemental analysis techniques were used to analyze the structures of the newly synthesized compounds. The majority of substances, compared to standard Amphotericin-B, have demonstrated promising antifungal activity.
