Analysis of sealing reliability and unsealing safety of K361 packer
Current research on the sealing reliability and unsealing safety evaluation of the all-metal sealed K361 thermal recovery packer remains largely unexplored. This paper addresses this gap by establishing a mathematical model for mechanical analysis that incorporates the shadow response during the expansion contact process, based on an analysis of the K361 packer's sealing structure characteristics. Utilizing ANSYS software, this study simulates and analyzes the contact stress, deformation, and residual deformation under variations in the effective length, inner diameter, and wall thickness of the sealing sleeve. Additionally, the established setting factor and unsealing factor are evaluated, and the influence of these three parameters on setting and unsealing is determined. The findings of this analysis provide guidance for the design and optimization of the K361 thermal recovery packer, thereby enhancing the reliability of tools and the efficacy of heavy oil stratified recovery.
