INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT AND LOCAL ECONOMIC DYNAMICS (Study of the Impact of Pidekso Reservoir on the Sendangsari Village Community)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the positive and negative impacts of the construction of the Pidekso reservoir infrastructure on the dynamics of the local economy of the community in Sendangsari Village. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a case study type of research. The results of the study stated that the positive impacts felt by the community after the reservoir was built were (1) the emergence of new livelihoods (2) changes in land use (3) changes in residential conditions (4) changes in facilities and infrastructure. In addition to this, the community also felt the negative impacts of the construction of the reservoir, namely (1) farmers lost their livelihoods (2) farmers' income decreased (3) facilities and infrastructure that had not been realized. Based on the current real situation, the Sendangsari Village community has not felt any progress in the economic sector because the management of the reservoir has not been maximized, making it difficult for the community to utilize the available natural resources.
