Synthesis, Identification and Evaluation of Anti-Mycobacterial Potential of 2- [E)-2-Substituted-Ethenyl]-1,3-Benzoxazoles
Six 2-[(E)-2-substituted-ethenyl]-1,3-benzoxazoles were created and described. All of the produced compounds were tested using three different kinds of mycobacteria.Among M. avium, M. kansasii, and M. TB, 2-[4-(methylsulfanyl) phenyl] ethenyl-1,3-benzoxazole was the most effective.Additionally, it was far more effective than isoniazid against both M. avium and M. kansasii.PET can be inhibited by 2-[(E)-2-(2-methoxyphenyl) ethenyl], the most potent orthosubstituted molecule.Additionally discussed are the connections between action and structure.
