Higher-order quantum gravity correction on inflationary dynamics

The higher-order quantum gravity corrections to the generalized inflationary potential are studied using an effective field theory approach. The inflationary parameters are obtained with the higher-order quantum gravity correction. The validity of generalized inflationary parameters is tested by applying it to the quadratic and quartic models. The inclusion of quantum gravity correction brings the tensor to scalar ratio of these model in agreement with recent cosmic microwave background estimates. The quantum gravity correction affects the reheating dynamics of these models, such as the reheating e-folding number and reheating temperature. When the higher-order correction tends to infinity, we regain the standard expressions for the corresponding inflationary parameters. The results may play a significant role in validating the quantum gravity and single field inflationary models.
