The study involves exploratory experiments and semi-structured interviews based on multiple case study design within multiple industries. The exploratory experiments involved the task of AHP hierarchy construction. The study highlighted prevalent challenges for global facility location country selection decision-makers. These difficulties include the complexity of the hierarchy, time restrictions, attribute balance, and information uncertainty. E-commerce managers deal with attribute balancing and developing decision frameworks, whilst logistics managers encounter coordination and communication challenges.
