True Brachial Artery Aneurysm Complicated with Acute Limb Ischemia and Compartment Syndrome
True brachial artery aneurysms are rare and brachial artery aneurysms presenting with acute limb ischemia and compartment syndrome is even rarer. The scope of this report is to present a case of a 45-year-old male presented with a true brachial artery aneurysm of the left upper limb complicated with acute limb ischemia and compartment syndrome of the left forearm secondary to thromboembolism. He underwent fasciotomy, embolectomy, and surgical repair of aneurysms and later developed Volkmann’s ischemic contracture of the left upper limb. There were no locally reported cases found in our literature review with true brachial artery aneurysms presenting with acute limb ischemia and compartment syndrome.
