Challenges and Countermeasures of Cross-Border E-commerce in International Trade -- Based on the Perspective of Logistics

With globalization and information technology advancement, cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a significant driving force in promoting international trade growth. The efficient and convenient provision of cross-border logistics services is crucial for the sustainable growth of cross-border e-commerce. However, the current development of cross-border e-commerce logistics still faces several deficiencies, including inadequate logistics informatization, inconsistent service quality, challenges in cost control, and an incomplete reverse logistics system. This paper examines Temu, an emerging cross-border e-commerce platform operating under Pinduoduo, as a case study to analyze and summarize the primary challenges encountered in developing cross-border e-commerce logistics. On top of that, this paper proposes optimization strategies, such as establishing an intelligent logistics information coordination platform, developing a standardized logistics service system, enhancing fine control mechanisms for logistics costs, and improving closed-loop operation systems for reverse logistics. These measures aim to facilitate the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce logistics and better serve China's foreign trade
