ASSOCIATIONS IN SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE

A philosophical justification has been made for the presence of ontological foundations of associations, which represent the interconnection of facts, events, systems that are formed in a personal consciousness through reminiscence and fixed in his consciousness. Associations are defined as a continuous sensation leading to certain imagery that is caused by random incidents. A random event may or may not happen, so the basis of associations is uncertainty, expressing subject-object relations. Uncertainty is a fundamental property of existence and is characterized by variability, instability, unpredictability, and in scientific knowledge - the inability to deduce final novelty from existing facts. The formation of scientific knowledge is thus influenced by associations, the ontological basis of which can be considered uncertainty. The specificity of associations in scientific activity, which is inextricably linked with the creative process and eidetic consciousness, is determined. The ontological status of associations is substantiated through the definition of their epistemological boundaries and the content of the actualized action. Abstract

The focus is on the classification structure of memory, which organizes the researcher’s activities and influences mental procedures for restoring the past and synthesizing new images. The forms of representation of associations in scientific knowledge, which are at the same time forms of scientific knowledge: fact, problem, hypothesis, theory, are analyzed.
