Research on wireless charging transmission characteristics of electric vehicles

As an important direction to realize efficient and convenient charging, wireless charging technology for electric vehicles obtains abundant attention and research. Wireless charging technology for electric vehicles (EVs) has garnered significant attention. Firstly, this paper compares various wireless power transmission technologies and different types of compensation topologies. Secondly, this paper chooses magnetic coupling resonant wireless charging with SS-type compensation as an example, and deduces output power and transmission efficiency using various coil mutual inductance and load resistance values through the basic compensation capacitance expression. Then the results were analyzed through MATLAB programming and a diagram, the coupling characteristics and load characteristics of the wireless charging method of electric vehicles with SS-type compensation were obtained. It was concluded that transmission efficiency was positively impacted by the coupling mechanism's coupling coefficient as well as the choice of suitable load resistance. It offers some theoretical backing for the real-world implementation of electric automobiles’ wireless charging.
