Application of image recognition technology in agriculture

With the rapid progress of image processing technology, image recognition technology has become an indispensable part of artificial intelligence. At the same time, this technology is also widely used in various fields of agriculture, providing great help for agricultural production. This article explains the basic principles of image recognition technology and discusses its practical applications in pest and disease control, crop weed control, and intelligent agricultural machinery. Additionally, image recognition technology in the agricultural field also faces many challenges, such as the lack of lightweight image recognition models, the lack of comprehensive agrarian image databases, and the low recognition accuracy caused by the complex operating environment. Addressing these challenges will require significant advancements. In the future, it will be possible to build lighter equipment, enhance image databases, and improve identification accuracy in complex environments. Moreover, integrating machine learning and IoT with image recognition can further optimize agricultural practices, making them more efficient and sustainable.
