Design and implementation of FPGA-based 6-digit 7-segment led display digital clock in medical settings
In today's society, the pace of life is accelerating, and people are becoming more anxious, especially in medical settings where anxiety is more likely to arise. Knowing the accurate changes in time can certainly reduce some anxiety, hence it is necessary to add a clock. The content of the article includes an introduction to theory, a discussion of experimental results, and a prospect for future development. The introduction to theory includes: the concept of anxiety, an introduction to Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), an introduction to hardware, and the concept of a 6-digit 7-segment display. The discussion of experimental results includes: the introduction of multiple entities constructed in VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL), and the analysis of their interconnection to form the clock function, as well as proof of the successful implementation through both software and hardware. Future development can build on the experimental results of others, making progress in areas such as body temperature measurement and remote communication. In summary, the article, set against the background of medical scenarios, introduces the concepts and content required for a basic clock. This means that the research has potential to cope with a variety of different scenarios and make various adaptations.
