Design and optimization of static wireless charging system for electric vehicles based on double-sided LCC compensation

As the electric vehicle industry swiftly grows, the conventional wired charging approaches have begun to reveal various challenges. Wireless charging technology which employs the use of wireless power transmission has more advantages compared with wired charging methods. It uses the principle of electromagnetic induction coupling to achieve non-contact charging, which can improve the security of vehicles charging. However, at present, the efficiency of wireless charging is lower than that of wired charging which hinders its industrial development. In order to solve this problem, in this article the resonant circuit was studied and the double-sided LCC compensation circuit was selected to explore and measure its influence on the output power under different coupling coefficients and loads. Based on this research, this article presented a static charging system design based on double-sided LCC compensation. The static charging system has been verified by simulation tests that it can effectively improve the efficiency of wireless charging. The results of this project will contribute to both the academic exploration and the industrial application of wireless charging technology.
