Research on control of DC servo motor angle based on fuzzy PID

Direct current (DC) servo motors have been widely used in industrial system design, with most implementations using the traditional proportional integral derivative (PID) control strategy. However, the parameters of traditional PID controllers - proportional, derivative, and integral gains - are fixed, and cannot be dynamically adjusted. This could lead to poor control performance in certain systems. Therefore, to address this issue and improve the system’s transient response, this paper uses a fuzzy self-adaptive PD controller to control a specific DC servo angle system. In this approach, PD parameters are continuously adjusted based on the actual system response, achieving adaptive PD parameters. The experiment compares the step response curves of the system under a traditional PD controller and a fuzzy self-adaptive controller. The simulation result can be obtained by MATLAB & Simulink, and it shows that the performance of the system is significantly improved when using a fuzzy self-adaptive PD controller.
